After touring relentlessly for the past 5 years as the lead singer and songwriter of the popular NYC group, Nightmare River Band, Matt Krahula has finally completed his much anticipated debut EP, Old Home Days.
A graduate of the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music (fellow alumni include Regina Spektor, Dan Romer, Langhorne Slim, Jenny Owen Youngs, Swear & Shake), Krahula has stepped out from behind his band to create a harmony laden EP with the pop sensibilities and alt-country flare that fans of NRB have already come to love. Playing the parts of producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist on Old Home Days, Krahula not ony showcases his skills as a prolific writer, but also his competence as a finely tuned studio musician. Keep your ear to the ground for the first single, “Proof of Life”, featuring world renowned Canadian singer/songwriter/ fiddler, Sierra Noble.
